Ian Michael started playing bass at 15 at the suggestion of a friend, and soon after he was gigging at places like DC Space and the Black Cat. Ian grew up with Jeff Raines and Robert Mercurio, whom later would form the funk band Galactic. Ian has toured, recorded and played with Keith Lofton (ex-Basehead guitarist, Lazy K), Mem Shannon (original funk and blues from New Orleans), and Eric Lindell on a national level, plus many others. Until recently Ian was playing in New Orleans until Katrina made him leave, which has now brought him back home to bring the funk to da east coast.
